Volleyball Recap: Cosumnes Oaks Takes a Loss

After flying high against West Campus last Monday, Cosumnes Oaks came back down to earth. The Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack lost 3-0 to the Folsom Bulldogs on Wednesday. The loss was the Wolfpack's first of the season.

While Cosumnes Oaks was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-23.

Anthony Nguyen paced Cosumnes Oaks' offense, picking up seven kills. Nguyen got some help from Jonathan Truong and his six assists. Victor Pinchon controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cosumnes Oaks fell to 2-1. As for Folsom, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Cosumnes Oaks wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against McClatchy on the 28th. As for Folsom, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Clovis West on the 28th.
