Volleyball Recap: Archbishop Riordan Takes a Loss

If Archbishop Riordan was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Westmoor on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders lost 3-0 to the Lowell Cardinals on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Crusaders have suffered since March 6th.

Archbishop Riordan was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lowell work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-19, 25-17.

Archbishop Riordan has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Lowell, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archbishop Riordan will challenge Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Lowell and Washington will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
