Volleyball Recap: Max Coleman and Nathan Thach Secure Win for Oswego East

Oswego East won the last time they faced Homewood-Flossmoor and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wolves skirted past the Vikings 2-1.

Oswego East was led to victory by Nathan Thach and Max Coleman. Thach had 14 digs and one assist, while Coleman had five digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Coleman a new career-high in assists (36).

Oswego East couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 45.5% of their attack attempts. That's the best hitting percentage they've posted all season.

Oswego East has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-3.

Looking ahead, Oswego East will head out on the road to square off against Plainfield North at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Marian Catholic at 4:30 p.m.
