Football Recap: George Walton Academy's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

George Walton Academy strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 35-7 victory over the Loganville Christian Academy Lions. Considering the Bulldogs have won six contests by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Aj Dillard had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 88 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. Samuel Elvington got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: George Walton Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 260 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 206 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Another reason for the win was George Walton Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. Elvington got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

George Walton Academy's record is now 7-0. As for Loganville Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Meanwhile, Loganville Christian Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Riverside Military Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Kylan Fryar and JJ Blackwell.
