Recap: Van Horn Falcons vs. Summit Christian Academy Eagles
After soaring to 64 points the game before, the Van Horn Falcons were a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They took a hard 42-25 fall against Summit Christian Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Van Horn has scored all season.
Summit Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Mike Thomas iii, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. Thomas iii hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Max Rieger was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Van Horn's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Summit Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Van Horn will take on Warrensburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Warrensburg is ranked 360th, while Van Horn is ranked 335th). As for Summit Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clinton on Tuesday.
