Baseball Game Preview: Cedarcrest Red Wolves vs. Highline Pirates

The Cedarcrest Red Wolves will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Highline Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Cedarcrest is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Lakewood. Cedarcrest had just enough and edged out Lakewood 2-1 last Thursday. The Red Wolves haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Braden Bottemiller was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Highline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-2 to Chief Sealth.

Highline saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roman Easter, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
