Centennial extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 9-1. They claimed a resounding 88-42 victory over the Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Huskies' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Eagles are ranked 495th).

As for Capistrano Valley Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-3 record. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Capistrano Valley Christian still got an impressive performance from Matthew Ahern, who went 7-for-14 on his way to 18 points. The matchup was Ahern's eighth in a row with at least 16 points. Andrew Lemery was another key player, putting up eight points.

Centennial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 71-57 win against Mater Dei on the 13th. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 68-42 victory against Jurupa Hills on the 13th.
