Volleyball Recap: Byron-Bergen Takes a Loss

If Byron-Bergen was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Attica last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bees lost 3-0 to the Pembroke Dragons on Thursday. The Bees were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dragons earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Byron-Bergen's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-5. As for Pembroke, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Byron-Bergen and Pembroke should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Bees will square off against Livonia at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (101 vs. 226). Meanwhile, Pembroke (ranked 119th) will meet Kendall (ranked 270th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
