Statesboro won the last time they faced Effingham County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Statesboro Blue Devils managed a 46-41 victory over the Effingham County Rebels. The 46-point effort marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Ja'Caiden Cone continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 14 points. What's more, he also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Camdyn Wilkerson, who posted 11 points and six boards.

Statesboro smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

Effingham County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Isaiah Brown, who earned six points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Damion Gordon, who scored 11 points.

Statesboro pushed their record up to 21-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Effingham County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-16.

Coming up, Statesboro won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Greenbrier at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Statesboro is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.6 points per game this season. Effingham County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
