Softball Game Preview: Southeastern Mustangs vs. Pennington Tigers

The Southeastern Mustangs will take on the Pennington Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Southeastern and three for Pennington.

Southeastern saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell just short of Appalachian by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, Pennington lost 10-4 to Appalachian two weeks ago.

Bryliegh Hanson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Kinsley Cullwell was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run.

Southeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Pennington, they now have a losing record of 6-7-1.

Everything went Southeastern's way against Pennington when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Southeastern made off with an 11-1 victory. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
