Basketball Recap: Aubrey Rogers Takes a Loss

Aubrey Rogers saw some tournament action on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 88-69 to the Land O' Lakes Gators. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (64), the Patriots still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Aubrey Rogers lost, don't look at Seth Timmer. Despite the final result, he posted 28 points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Vargas, who earned 17 points.

Leading Land O' Lakes to victory were Jacoby Davis and Sequel Hodge. Davis dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards, while Hodge shot 80% from the field en route to 20 points. Those 80% field goal percentage gave Hodge a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Daley, who put up nine points and six rebounds.

Aubrey Rogers now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Land O' Lakes, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
