Softball Game Preview: Manalapan Braves vs. Monmouth Regional Falcons

The Manalapan Braves will head out to challenge the Monmouth Regional Falcons at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Manalapan's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.

While Manalapan didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Rumson-Fair Haven 13-3 on Monday. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Monmouth Regional came up short against Matawan Regional on Monday and fell 7-3. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manalapan's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Monmouth Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
