Softball Recap: Hale Ray Comes Up Short

Hale Ray has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.36 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-1 to the St. Paul Catholic Falcons, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Noises haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Hale Ray saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Autumn Landry, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Hale Ray's defeat dropped their record down to 22-6. As for St. Paul Catholic, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-3.

Hale Ray does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Paul Catholic, they will face off against North Branford on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 2.7, the Thunderbirds 1.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
