Baseball Recap: Simmons Takes a Loss

Simmons and Sebastopol squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Simmons had to settle for second. They lost 19-4 to the Bobcats.

Quentoris Wallace made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Simmons' defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Sebastopol, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-11.

While Simmons had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Friday.
