Football Recap: Caruthersville Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Caruthersville can now relate to. The contest between the Tigers and the St. Pius X Lancers didn't end well, with the Tigers falling 28-14. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lancers earlier this season, when they won 33-25.

Caruthersville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for St. Pius X, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Caruthersville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Pius X, they will square off against Montgomery County at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Lancers will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
