Baseball Recap: Duchesne Victorious

Duchesne's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the North Summit Braves by a score of 10-6. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won nine in a row.

Wyatt Christensen was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Scottie Branson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2025.

The victory was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 4-14. As for North Summit, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Duchesne beat the Braves by a score of 16-0 on Friday.
