Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for Forest Park

While Forest Park didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on the Creekside Seminoles with a sharp 8-0 victory on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Seminoles: they've now won six in a row.

Aaron Booker and Mark Washington did most of the damage at the plate: Booker scored three runs and stole Four bases., while Washington scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. With that strong performance, Booker is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Jaheem Williams also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Forest Park's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10 runs. As for Creekside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forest Park will venture away from home to take on Drew at 5:55 p.m. on Monday. Drew has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.5 runs per game on average), something Forest Park will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Creekside, they will face off against Pace Academy at 5:55 p.m. on Monday.
