Volleyball Game Preview: Thornton Wildcats vs. Bloom Blazing Trojan

Thornton is 2-8 against Bloom since October of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Wildcats will face off against the Blazing Trojan at 5:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Thornton came up short against Crete-Monee and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Bloom had to endure a six-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Thornridge by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

Bloom easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-12.

Bloom's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Thornton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Thornton couldn't quite get it done against Bloom when the teams last played back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
