St. Michael took a 31-point loss the last time they faced off against Concordia Lutheran, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Warriors made off with a 29-28 victory over the Crusaders. The win was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 646th, while the Crusaders are ranked 308th).

It was another big night for Nico Anderson, who threw for 212 yards and three TDs.

The victory got St. Michael's back to even at 5-5. As for Concordia Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

As of now, neither St. Michael's nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
