After a string of four wins, Kalamazoo Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 6-1 to the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants. The Comets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Maroon Giants earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Kalamazoo Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Gernaat, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Kalamazoo Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Kalamazoo Central, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-5 record.

While Kalamazoo Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
