Recap: Liberty Tigers vs. Hartshorne Miners
It was a good run, but The Liberty Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Hartshorne 26-20. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Liberty in their matchups with Hartshorne: they've now lost three in a row.
Liberty's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen Prestridge, who rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 43 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Chunk Bilby, who picked up 77 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Hartshorne, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Liberty will head out on the road to face off against Woodland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodland will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Hartshorne will take on Pawnee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pawnee is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
