Baseball Game Preview: Sulligent Blue Devils vs. Red Bay Tigers

The Sulligent Blue Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Red Bay Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sulligent has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with six straight losses, while Red Bay will come in with four straight wins.

Sulligent fell victim to Gordo and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 14-0 to the Green Wave.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Red Bay faced off against Colbert Heights on Monday. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Wildcats an 8-0 shutout. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Carson McGee, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Thorne, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Red Bay hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.

Sulligent's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Red Bay, their record now sits at 16-5.

Sulligent might still be hurting after the 9-3 loss they got from Red Bay in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
