Softball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 22-5 to the Altamont Longhorns. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-3 defeat on Friday.

Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Altamont, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayne will welcome Panguitch at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Badgers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 14.1 runs per game this season. As for Altamont, they will host Pinnacle at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Longhorns are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
