Baseball Recap: Peddie Takes a Loss

The Peddie Falcons didn't have quite enough to beat the Trenton Central Tornadoes on Wednesday and fell 6-5.

Peddie's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 3.5 runs. As for Trenton Central, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peddie will host Hill School at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Trenton Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Florence Township Memorial at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The Flashes' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Tornadoes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
