Baseball Recap: Apollo Ridge Takes a Loss

Apollo Ridge lost against Riverview on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings fell 10-5 to the Raiders. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Apollo Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zac Myers, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Gage Wingard also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Apollo Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Riverview, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apollo Ridge will challenge Leechburg at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Riverview, they will face off against Brentwood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
