Baseball Game Preview: Annapolis Panthers vs. Glen Burnie Gophers

The Annapolis Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Glen Burnie Gophers at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Annapolis hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

It was a proper cat-fight when Annapolis faced off against Chesapeake on Friday. The Panthers lost 9-1 to the Cougars.

Annapolis saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malachi Quinn, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Daniel Capo also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Glen Burnie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Severna Park, falling 15-3.

Glen Burnie's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Annapolis, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-6.

Annapolis couldn't quite finish off Glen Burnie in their previous matchup last Wednesday and fell 9-7. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
