Volleyball Recap: Nebraska Lutheran Knights vs. Dorchester Longhorns
Nebraska Lutheran lost against Dorchester back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Knights came up short against the Longhorns, falling 3-0. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.
While Nebraska Lutheran ultimately came up short, they really made Dorchester work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-14, 25-21.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taelyn Williamson, who had nine digs and one assist.
Dorchester can attribute much of their success to Savannah June, who had 27 assists and nine digs. That's the most assists June has posted over her last seven matches.
Nebraska Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Dorchester, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 13-16.
Nebraska Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dorchester, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley on the 27th.
