Soccer Game Preview: Elkhorn South vs. Papillion-LaVista

The Elkhorn South Storm will venture away from home to take on the Papillion-LaVista Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Elkhorn South comes in on five and Papillion-LaVista on six.

Elkhorn South's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Bellevue East as they made off with a 7-0 win. Elkhorn South's winning goal came courtesy of Macy Meier.

Meanwhile, Papillion-LaVista's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past Papillion-LaVista South 1-0. Give Papillion-LaVista's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Papillion-LaVista pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five contests. As for Elkhorn South, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
