Basketball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison extended their losing streak to 20 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-24. They were outmatched by the Churchill Chargers and fell 63-23. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-25 on January 3rd.

As for Churchill, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-22 record. That looming 63-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Alexis Martens went supernova, dropping a double-double with 28 points and ten rebounds. Those 28 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Courtney Kohler, who posted ten points.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Madison is set to face off against their familiar foe Reagan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Churchill will take on rival Clark at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
