Recap: Ballard Beavers vs. Bishop Blanchet Bears
The Ballard Beavers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They and Bishop Blanchet were almost perfectly matched up, but Ballard suffered an agonizing 54-53 defeat. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ballard in their matchups with Bishop Blanchet: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Ballard lost, one person who can't be blamed is Joe Farley. Despite the final result, he threw for 278 yards and six touchdowns. Farley is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Finn Liese did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 32 receiving yards.
Ballard's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Bishop Blanchet, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.
Ballard will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lincoln is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Bishop Blanchet does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
