Football Recap: Decatur Skates Past Columbia with Ease

While Decatur put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Columbia. The Red Raiders blew past the Eagles 37-0. The Red Raiders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Isaiah Allen had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 144 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Those 144 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Reid Roberson was another key player, rushing for 29 yards and one score.

Decatur didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Deshaun Swoopes and Kenteris Morris. Cayden Oliver was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Decatur's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Columbia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Decatur will venture away from home to square off against Mae Jemison at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbia, they will square off against Cullman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
