After losing to Eastside the last time they met, Heritage decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Patriots walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Blazers on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Hadlee Shipp made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Heritage's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Eastside, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage will square off against Woodlan at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastside, they will venture away from home to square off against Fairfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blazers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season.
