Basketball Recap: Patterson Mill Beats Perryville for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Patterson Mill entered their tilt with Perryville on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They strolled past the Perryville Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 73-58. Given Patterson Mill's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Perryville is ranked 222nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Patterson Mill pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points over those games. As for Perryville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Looking ahead, Patterson Mill will welcome Joppatowne at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Perryville, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panthers challenge the Bobcats on Monday. Bel Air will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Perryville surely won't give up without a fight.
