The Edison Spartans are on the road again on Friday to play the Dryden Lions at 4:30 p.m. Edison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.5 runs per game this season.
In what's become a running theme this season, Edison gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They beat Lansing by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-3.
Gabby Milazzo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emma Maggs, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Emily Aiello was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Dryden lost 17-3 to Southern Cayuga on Wednesday.
