It's playoff time, and Thompson had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 54-0 victory over the Mary G. Montgomery Vikings. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Trent Seaborn had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 262 yards and four touchdowns while completing 93.8% of his passes, and also punching in one rushing score. His passing game has become a key predictor of Thompson's success: the team is 8-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

Thompson's run defense was locked in: Mary G. Montgomery could only muster 2.6 yards per carry. While five picked up at least seven total tackles, Bradlee Cocchiaro stood above the rest. He picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss). Thompson's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 3.9.

Thompson's defense didn't let Jeremy Menhennett, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Thompson got some further help from Cocchiaro: he picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Thompson is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.0 points over those games. As for Mary G. Montgomery, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.

Looking ahead, Thompson will face off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Red Devils have now posted at least 31 points in their last five games. Mary G. Montgomery does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
