Barlow waltzed into their match  on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Sandy Pioneers  an   11-0 shutout. The game was the first time the Bruins have beaten the Pioneers on their field since April 15, 2019.
Not much got past  Kaylee Pokorny 2025, who gave up just  three  hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Sandy off the board. Pokorny 2025 has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate, Barlow let  Peyton Trickel 2025 and  Charliann Renner 2025 run wild. Trickel 2025  went 3-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double, while  Renner 2025  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.  Lyla Ostrowski 2026 also deserves some recognition as  she  got her first  hit of the season.
Barlow's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Sandy, their  defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-5.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Barlow will  take on  rival Nelson  at 6:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Sandy is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Gresham  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
