Wheatley had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They breezed by the Kashmere Fighting Rams to the tune of 89-59. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Fighting Rams are ranked 1007th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wheatley's victory bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Kashmere, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
