Football Recap: El Camino Eagles vs. Mesa Verde Mavericks
El Camino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 30-6 to the Mesa Verde Mavericks.
Fred Robinson was nothing short of spectacular for Mesa Verde: he rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another back making a difference was Cesar Granados, who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown.
El Camino's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mesa Verde, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.
El Camino will look to defend their home field on Friday against Nevada Union at 7:00 p.m. As for Mesa Verde, they will have plenty of time to enjoy the win as they don't play again for a while. They'll take on Highlands at 7:20 p.m. on September 20th.
