The Fairview Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Kirtland Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Fairview comes in on four and Kirtland on 18.

Fairview is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Beachwood on the road to the tune of 56-12 on Friday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-0.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fairview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jr Beato, who picked up 111 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Beato was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 57 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Burke Lowry, who threw for 120 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Fairview's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Vinny Rizzo, LaMarcus Clark, and Clark picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Kirtland on the road against Cuyahoga Heights on Friday as the squad secured a 48-7 victory. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Red Wolves are ranked 257th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Jake Laverde, who rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

Fairview's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Kirtland, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
