Softball Recap: Rossview Drops Highest Score of Season Against Northeast

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rossview). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Northeast Eagles a 17-0 shutout on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The team relied heavily on Madelyn Fillers, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Kennedy Scott was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

Rossview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .793. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Rossview's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Northeast, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Rossview will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
