Baseball Game Preview: Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers vs. Heritage Coyotes

Lebanon Trail hasn't had much luck against Heritage recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Trail Blazers will host the Coyotes at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Back in March, Lebanon Trail didn't have quite enough to beat Frisco and fell 3-2. The Trail Blazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lebanon Trail got a good showing from Matthew Cable, who pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the fewest hits Cable has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, Lebanon Trail saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Takuma Kitahama, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Kitahama also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Rock Hill, falling 15-4.

Karson Smith made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Lebanon Trail's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-18-1.
