Baseball Recap: Bluejacket Takes a Loss

Bluejacket's last matchup with Afton could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. Bluejacket came up short against Afton, falling 8-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Chieftains were not able to get on the board.

Bluejacket has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. Afton's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.

Looking ahead, Bluejacket will take on Copan at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Afton, they will challenge Welch at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Welch has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.13 runs per game on average), something Afton will no doubt try to take advantage of.
