Soccer Recap: Southmoore Comes Up Short

Southmoore fought the good fight in their overtime game against Piedmont on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Southmoore couldn't push the score so high this time.

Southmoore's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Piedmont, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southmoore will welcome Edmond Santa Fe at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Piedmont, they will host Jenks at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jenks' last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
