Basketball Game Preview: Perry Commodores vs. New Bremen Cardinals

The Perry Commodores just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the New Bremen Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Perry will be strutting in after a win while New Bremen will be coming in after a defeat.

Perry is coming into the match on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They enjoyed a cozy 56-40 win over North Baltimore on Friday.

Meanwhile, New Bremen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The contest between them and Marion Local didn't end well, with New Bremen falling 54-36. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 335th, while the Flyers are ranked 65th).

New Bremen's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Perry, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11.

Perry took a serious blow against New Bremen in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 76-45. Can Perry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
