Softball Recap: Millburn Comes Up Short

Millburn was the 7-5 winner over Newark Academy when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Millers fell just short of the Minutemen by a score of 8-7 on Monday. The Millers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Millburn's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Newark Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Millburn will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Payne Tech at 4:00 p.m. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.38 runs per game on average), something the Millers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Newark Academy, they will face off against Belleville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
