Weeki Wachee is 10-0 against Central since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Weeki Wachee Hornets just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Central Bears at 7:30 p.m. Weeki Wachee has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

On Monday, Weeki Wachee humbled South Sumter with a 58-18 victory. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 52-15 defeat at the hands of Nature Coast Tech. The Bears were down 45-9 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cassidy Zavrel posted ten points.

Weeki Wachee has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points per game. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Everything came up roses for Weeki Wachee against Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 60-13 victory. In that game, Weeki Wachee amassed a halftime lead of 40-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
