Basketball Recap: Oak Grove Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Oak Grove hadn't done well against Northern Guilford recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Grizzlies walked away with a 77-65 win over the Nighthawks. The Grizzlies' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Oak Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kalin Favreau, who shot 85% from the field en route to 26 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Those 26 points gave Favreau a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cora Hadley, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds.

Oak Grove smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 21 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Northern Guilford had strong showings from Leena McField, who posted 25 points along with seven assists and five boards, and Aliyah Settle, who went 7-for-16 on her way to 20 points and four steals. The matchup was McField's fourth in a row with at least 25 points. Another player making a difference was Anaya Pearley, who scored nine points.

Oak Grove's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Northern Guilford, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.
