Recap: J.H. Rose Rampants vs. Kinston Vikings
The J.H. Rose Rampants are still winless after their match against the Kinston Vikings on Tuesday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. J.H. Rose fell just short of Kinston by a score of 47-44. J.H. Rose lost against Kinston in their previous head to head last Friday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 41-39 score last time.
J.H. Rose's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cameron Daise, who scored 16 points along with 3 steals. Daise scored a full 36.4% of J.H. Rose's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Amarriah Brown, who scored 9 points along with 4 steals.
J.H. Rose's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Kinston, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
J.H. Rose will be playing in front of their home fans against Fike at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kinston, they will head out on the road to face off against West Carteret at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully West Carteret focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Monday.
