Soccer Game Preview: Lone Star vs. The Colony

The Lone Star Rangers will head out on the road to take on The Colony at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lone Star's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Lone Star didn't have quite enough to beat Wakeland and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Wolverines are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for The Colony's offense. They fell just short of Creekview by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lone Star's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4-2. As for The Colony, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12-4.

Lone Star beat The Colony 2-0 in their previous meeting back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lone Star since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
