Volleyball Recap: Legacy's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Legacy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Gainesville Hurricanes on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-20, 25-20.

Legacy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Paisley Woods, who had nine digs and three assists, and Kherington Neikirk, who had eight digs.

Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 23-8. As for Gainesville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Legacy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gainesville, after both having extra time off, they and Archbishop McCarthy will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:00 p.m. on November 7.
